Out with the old

The Farm Assurer program was launched in 2011 to provide support for producers wishing to get GLOBALG.A.P. certified. Farm Assurers – also known as GLOBALG.A.P. approved consultants – were able to provide support through consultancy offers on the GLOBALG.A.P. standards.

The program experienced steady growth over its 10-year run, counting more than 260 consultants around the world in 2021. Nevertheless, the time has come to reboot the program in 2022.

In with the new

As of January 2022, the Registered Trainer program has taken over from the Farm Assurer program and will continue to be a central pillar of GLOBALG.A.P. capacity-building activities. Registered Trainers are agricultural experts who have been trained and examined by GLOBALG.A.P., and are authorized to provide their own trainings on GLOBALG.A.P. standards – usually to producers. With this new emphasis on trainings, the program is best suited to its major role in promoting responsible farming practices around the world.

A program to benefit everyone

For agricultural experts, joining the Registered Trainer program can help widen their scope of activities and add value to their business. For an annual fee of €490, they can enjoy benefits such as free training materials, promotion of their trainings in the GLOBALG.A.P. Academy course catalogue, and extra visibility via their listing on our Registered Trainer search tool. GLOBALG.A.P. community members can enjoy one free Registered Trainer membership as part of their membership advantages, as well as a price reduction to €150 for any further trainers.

For producers, attending a training by a Registered Trainer is one of the best ways to prepare for the path to certification or certification renewal. By the end of the training, participants will understand the requirements for GLOBALG.A.P. certification and have gained a well-rounded understanding of the GLOBALG.A.P. certification system as a whole. By choosing a Registered Trainer, training participants benefit from original training material and up-to-date information through a GLOBALG.A.P. registered training provider. Many Registered Trainers will also offer additional services, such as consultancy, outside of their training activities.

How to get involved

Finding and recognizing a Registered Trainer is easy – simply search by name, company, scope, or country in our Registered Trainer search tool. All Registered Trainers are equipped with a Registered Trainer seal, complete with date, as proof of belonging to the program.
