Founded by doctors and nutritionists, Nutifood specializes in the sustainable development of nutritious foodstuffs. Now the Vietnamese enterprise is reaching new heights with GLOBALG.A.P. certification for their NutiMilk dairy cows*.

“As an enterprise which focuses on improving the health and nutrition levels of a nation’s children, it is only natural that NutiFood is keen to ensure food safety in the supply chain,” says Tran Thi Le, CEO at NutiFood and NutiMilk. “With GLOBALG.A.P. certification for our dairy cows, we can clearly demonstrate our commitment to protecting the environment and the welfare of our employees and animals, and thus society as a whole.”

Who are NutiFood?

In the 1980s and 90s, the healthcare system in Vietnam was in poor condition: 31.9% of children under 5 were malnourished, and 43.3% were stunted. Haunted by this reality, in 1989, a group of doctors and nutritionists founded the Dong Tam Food Facility under the auspices of the Children’s Nutrition Center on a mission to research and produce products to prevent childhood malnutrition. By providing products for specific age groups and vitamin deficiencies, NutiFood has managed to carve out a niche in the market. It offers products of imported quality at affordable prices. After nearly 20 years of development and growth, NutiFood is now one of the top 3 dairy companies in Vietnam and was awarded the Nation Brand prize in 2018. The company currently has 6 factories in Vietnam and 1 factory in Sweden, employing more than 5,300 workers.

Reaching new heights with NutiMilk

Aware of the demand for fresh milk with the same high nutritional content as imported milk, NutiFood has spent the last two years investing in, researching, and implementing the best agricultural techniques for dairy farming. Now, the NutiMilk dairy farm, located below a volcano at 800m above sea level, is home to cows each producing 25 liters of milk per day. The milk is optimized not for quantity, but for quality: 100ml of NutiMilk contain 3.5g of protein and 4g of fat – equivalent to that of imported products.

How do they do it?

Thanks to its rural location, the NutiMilk dairy farm has clean soil, air, water, and grass. An altitude of 800m offers the perfect temperature of around 21–25 degrees. The NutiMilk dairy farm has also implemented GLOBALG.A.P. certified farming processes for best practices, which guarantees a minimum level of food safety compliance.

We are excited to see what NutiFood does next!
