The GLOBALG.A.P. technical committees and focus groups evaluated the current Integrated Farm Assurance (IFA) version 5 and approved structural changes to simplify the standard.
With these results, the first draft was published for public consultation. The first official public consultation period took place from May to June 2020. All stakeholders were invited to provide input and feedback via the World Consultation Tour webinars and with written feedback submitted via e-mail. In this first round, GLOBALG.A.P. hosted 89 webinars with 450 participants. A further 1652 comments were received in writing. The GLOBALG.A.P. technical experts and committees evaluated and incorporated the feedback from the first public consultation period and published the second draft in October. The second public consultation period ran from mid-November 2020 to mid-January 2021. The second round resulted in 31 World Consultation Tour webinars with 245 participants. A further 920 comments were received in writing.
At the end of March 2021, GLOBALG.A.P. will publish an interim summary of changes to indicate what has been changed from the second to the third draft. This allows those stakeholders who provided input to have a transparent overview of what has since been edited.
In May/June you can participate in field trials to evaluate the standard’s auditability.
